Participation Notice

 

1. Key notes before departure

(1) Bring personal medicines.

(2) The temperature in Hong Kong is about 25°C to 35°C, please bring suitable clothes and rain gear.

(3) Public transportation in Hong Kong is very convenient. There are subways, railways, public buses, taxis and other kinds of transportation shuttle through all the main areas.

(4) If participating teams participate in group events, please bring relevant music USB and CD by themselves, and put them in an envelope and write the name of the team and the entry items on it. The envelope should be handed over to the audio control center on the field half an hour before the game starts. (Only one piece of music can be saved for competition use on each USB stick or CD)

(5) Regarding insurance: Participants purchase insurance by themselves.

(6) All guests and participating teams staying in the hotel designated by the Organizing Committee, please report and register in the selected Hong Kong hotels between 12:00nn and 8:00 pm on August 14, 2023 (Monday). (Details to be announced later).

(7) Teams that do not stay in the hotel designated by the Organizing Committee, please report and register in the designated Hong Kong hotel from 12:00nn to 8:00 pm of August 14, 2023 (Monday), and receive competition materials and souvenirs at the same time. (Details will be announced later)

(8) On August 16, 2023 (Wednesday), the team participating in the dinner arranged by the Organizing Committee, please gather in the lobby of the hotel where you are staying.

The time and place will be notified upon registration.

2. Instructions for staying in the hotel

(1) After the participating teams arrive at the hotel, the team leader or person in-charge will report to the competition reception first. Receive the items for the team members, including participation card, event publications, athlete number cloths, souvenirs, prizes collecting card, etc.

(2) Get up, have breakfast and get on the bus (with the bus pass) according to the time schedule of the competition every day. Please go on time so as to ensure that every event will go smoothly (subject to the notification time of the resident staff).

(3) Participants must pay attention to safety. Close the door when you come in and out, and keep the door keys, documents, jewelry, money and valuables etc. properly

(4) Abide by the rules and regulations of the hotel, take good care of the various facilities in the hotel. If there is any damage, compensation shall be made according to the hotel regulations.

(5) The room rate of the hotel only includes accommodation per person, excluding private consumption in the hotel (telephone bills, laundry fees, meals, drinks etc.). Those services must be handled in accordance with hotel regulations, and accounts must be settled when leaving the hotel.

(6) Everyone should check in and check out according to the pre-booked date. If you need to extend your stay, please notify the liaison office in time. After the hotel agrees, pay the room fee according to the price agreed between the liaison office and the hotel.

(7) If the luggage needs to be delivered by the luggage department of the hotel, the luggage tipping should be paid by yourself.

(8) For those who have booked and paid the hotel room fees in full, if they are unable to attend the competition or check out halfway, the fees charged will not be refunded.

(9) The hotel accommodation arrangement is subject to the previous allocation of the organizing committee. Each representative team has opinions on room sharing. If there are still single man and woman who cannot share rooms with other teams, they will be dealt with in the form of extra beds.

(10) Smoking is prohibited in the hotel lobby, corridors, rooms, etc. Please do not smoke in the non-smoking area. Offenders will be fined HK$1500. Please note that smoking is prohibited inside and outside the competition venue, please do not smoke in the non-smoking area.

3. Competition Instructions

(1) For the competition day - August 15, 2023 (Tuesday), time for breakfast, gathering in the hotel lobby and departure time for the venue will be announced on August 14, 2023 (Monday).

(2) Before departure to the competition venue on August 15, 2023 (Tuesday), each team must bring all the competition supplies (such as those used for the competition equipment, personal medicines and changes of clothing). Since the accommodation hotel is a certain distance from the competition venue, if any items are left behind, you will not be retrieved in time. Please pay more attention to the participating teams.

The "Opening Ceremony" will be held at Star Hall (Huixing) on the 3rd floor of Kowloon Bay International Exhibition and Trade Center at 11:00 a.m. on August 15, 2023. Teams are invited to gather at the back door on the 3rd floor after the individual competition finished in the morning (about 10:30a.m.).

For foreign country teams, countries are used as units; for China, provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government and special administrative regions are used as units. Teams are numbered in sequence.

After the guide cards of the above units are collected, the guide cards will be raised by representatives of the major representative teams and enter the field in turn.

Teams should wear the team uniforms and they can hold the team flag, team logo or team badge marked by the sponsor (see Attachment A for the entrance route) when they are entering the field.

(3) The entering order for the opening ceremony is: (Teams with less than 10 members and individuals have no team cards, please follow the queue of the province and city)

The details of entering order will be announced later.

(4) On the day of the competition, all participating teams and athletes arriving at the competition venue must report to the competition registration/check-in office first. The inspection office is located at the back door of Star Hall (Huixing) on the 3rd floor.

(5) Athletes in individual events should stick the athlete*|*s number cloth on the back of the competition uniform. When there are 2-4 players on the field at the same time, please follow the arrangement of the chief referee to start at the designated numbered position on the field, so that the referee can confirm the athletes correctly.

(6) The participating teams and athletes of each event should report to the check-in area 30 minutes before the start of the event.

(7) Pay attention to the latest notices and arrangements broadcast by the Organizing Committee at any time, and act accordingly.

(8) All participating teams and athletes must abide by the competition rules and regulations of the Organizing Committee.

(9) Competition venue:

This competition is divided into 6 venues (See the attached picture for venues 1-6).

i. In the infield of the competition venue, except for the participating athletes, other off-site competition personnel are not allowed to enter the competition venue. Only players who are about to play are left in the infield. All other non-competition players should go to the designated seats in the auditorium on 5/F of the gymnasium to watch or rest. After the athletes finish the game, please consciously return to the auditorium of the stadium.

ii. Only reporters with "press cards" can enter the competition hall with cameras and video equipment to conduct filming and interviews. However, it is not allowed to affect the competition and enter the competition field line to take pictures and videos. It is strictly forbidden to use flashlights during the “duilian” competition.

Teams can take photos and videos in the auditorium on 5/F, and they are not allowed to enter the infield of the competition hall.

(10) On August 15, 2023 (Tuesday), we have lunch in the competition venue. Athletes who have paid the meal fee to the organizing committee can dine in the restaurant on the 3rd floor of the venue or pick up the lunch box and dine in the stands of the venue. The lunch box distribution time is 12:00-14:00. The dinner reception team will make the arrangements, and each team will send a representative to collect the lunch boxes on time with the number on the lower right corner of the prizes collecting card.

4. Award Presentation Notes

(1)  The grand closing awards ceremony of this competition will be held on August 16, 2023 (Wednesday) at 7:00 p.m.. During the banquet, prizes, trophies, medals and certificates will be awarded to the top 3 teams of the Overall Group Award; Prizes, trophies, medals and certificates are awarded to the Group all-round teams; award  trophies, medals and certificates to the Champion of six groups. All award-winning units and individuals are requested to attend on time and send representative to the side of the rostrum to wait for the award presentation. The Individual All-round Champions are ready for the final of the “King of Kings” at the dinner party.

(2) Those who have won the male and female individual all-around champions of each age group must participate in the closing awards dinner to compete for the "King of Kings" award Contest. The "King of Kings" will be selected by direct voting of the dinner participants. The 15th Hong Kong International Wushu Competition Organizing Committee will present the " King of Kings " Award with prize, trophy, medal and honorary certificate, and also the "Wuying Award".

(3) Except for the awards presented at the closing ceremony, other awards will be received at the award receiving office on the 4th floor of Hong Kong Kowloon Bay International Exhibition and Trade Center. There is a podium at the back door of the competition venue-Star Hall, which is exclusively for the teams to take pictures.

For those who won single events, duilian, confrontation fighting, collective events, performance awards at the opening ceremony and technical achievements in "Chinese Wushu Duanwei" Certificates, 4th to 8th place in the Overall Group Award, 2nd to 6th place in the Individual All-around for men and women in each age group, you can collect the award with the prizes collecting card and the recipient*|*s ID card (or Hong Kong and Macau Pass, or passport) at 4/F the award receiving office and sign the form.

(4) Time to receive awards:

From 12:00nn on August 15th, 2023 to 30 minutes after the end of all competitions, individual awards will be awarded.

Before the dinner on August 16, 2023, please go to the designated place of the banquet hotel to collect all unclaimed prizes (except the prizes to be awarded during the banquet). Afterwards, it is deemed to be waived automatically. If you need to ask the organizing committee to mail it on your behalf, please go to the Competition Department to fill in the mailing application form, and the mailing fee will be charged by yourself.

If the "Individual All-around Grand Prize" needs to be decided by lottery, please pay attention to the broadcast announcement of the organizing committee. The lottery is listed in the competition information center. If you are not present, you will be treated as a waiver.

(5) The Contribution Award for the Global Development of Wushu, The Wutan Shentong Award and The Wutan Jiying Award will be awarded at the opening ceremony. Please let the representative of this award gather at the side of the rostrum before the opening ceremony and wait to receive the award.
